Pride of Britain Regional Fundraiser of the Year Nominee 2026
It’s that epic time of year again where the excitement builds! Things are gathering momentum and I begin my South Downs Way walk to kick off our 2026 fundraising campaign on 19 September!
You can help, you wonderful people!
Please share, spread the word, support us in any way you can! We will be bringing long more epic Lego to the children in the hospitals over Christmas in the wards where Ben was treated for cancer and his stem cell transplant - Starfish ward at QA Portsmouth, Piam Brown in Southampton and Starlight ward in Bristol.
Ben’s Epic Christmas Boxes started in 2019 just weeks after our beautiful son, Ben died. This will be our eighth campaign.
Every year since 2021, I’ve walked the 100 mile long South Downs Way to start the fundraiser. Over the years, our dear friend, Joe Musker has organised Drumathons (Ben’s Dad is a drummer!) to raise funds and we have done the occasional Online GalaBid Auction.
In time, when we become a charity, which we hope to do one day soon, we have plans to do so much more for the children in hospital at Christmas where our Ben was treated for acute myeloid leukaemia.
We can only do this with your continued amazing love and support!

Pride of Britain Nomination!
I just wanted to share something wonderful that has happened in August ... I am so proud and so grateful to be included as a #PrideofBritain Awards Nominee for Regional Fundraiser of the Year for Meridian West and Thames Valley. I was fortunate enough to be invited to share our story and all about our son, Ben and #BensEpicChristmasBoxes - a campaign we set up in his name to bring Lego to the children in the hospitals where Ben was treated (Portsmouth, Southampton and Bristol) who are stuck in hospital over Christmas - on the local news earlier this week. I'll be walking the #SouthDownsWay in just over a week - between 19 and 25 September! Any support is always gratefully received!! As a bereaved parent, author and creative soul, I am building a community for bereaved parents and families in the hope of helping others who have experienced child loss and those who are supporting parents and families in this situation, to learn to be present in order to process their grief.
